At NATO EDGE, we will present how persistent seabed sensing enhances Underwater Security and critical infrastructure protection across NATO waters.

OptiBarrier

OptiBarrier is a passive, all-optical seabed hydrophone network delivering continuous, real-time detection and tracking of underwater threats. With no wet-end electronics and a noise floor below Sea State 0, the system enables covert, wide-area monitoring of:

  • Naval bases and harbor approaches
  • Strategic chokepoints
  • Subsea cables and pipelines
  • Offshore energy infrastructure

Deployed up to >100 km offshore, OptiBarrier streams high-fidelity acoustic data to shore-based interrogation and processing units, supporting detection, classification, and integration into command systems
