NEDS 2024: Optics11 Signs Agreement to Feature Advanced Systems and Components for Orka Class Submarines.

Rotterdam, Netherlands – November 21, 2024 – Optics11, a leading Dutch high-tech company is proud to be involved in the new Dutch Orka class submarines program, ensuring superior performance and reliability for the Royal Netherlands Navy.

An agreement between the company and Thales was signed at the Netherlands Defence and Security (NEDS) event by the CEO of Optics11, and the Procurement Director from Thales. This collaboration marks a major milestone in the development of advanced submarine technology. The Orka class submarines are designed to meet the highest standards of operational excellence and technological innovation.

The Orka class submarines will feature advanced systems and components developed by Optics11, including the cutting-edge OptiArray technology. OptiArray is a state-of-the-art towed array sonar system that enhances underwater detection and tracking capabilities, providing unparalleled performance in submarine operations. Leveraging their expertise in high-tech maritime technology, Optics11 is set to revolutionize the field with this innovative solution. The agreement signing ceremony took place at NEDS 2024, a premier event for the defense and security industry, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in advancing defense capabilities.
