Amsterdam Following the acquisition of Fugro’s FBG sensing activities known as FAZ Technology, Optics11 now presents their roadmap for this best-in-class sensing technology. The current flagship interrogators known as FAZT I4G and I4W, as well as the expansion systems I4-16 and I4-16W, are now available under the Optics11 brand. Optics11 will target applications such as structural health monitoring of wind turbines and civil structures, road monitoring, condition monitoring, and develop fully productized sensing solutions for these applications.

In parallel, Optics11 will continue the development of the next generation FBG interrogator, as a joint effort between the newly integrated team in Dublin and the team in Amsterdam. This interrogator, which is aimed to be more cost-effective while maintaining the unique performance features, is expected to be released in early 2021.
Further down the road, Optics11 FAZ technology will also be integrated in the existing product lines such as acoustic emission, acoustic arrays and hydrophone product lines. These high-end fiber optic sensing systems will provide all relevant health and performance parameters of valuable assets in the harshest conditions. Optics11 aims to be a one-stop fiber sensing company, offering system level solutions that pave the way for integrated predictive maintenance and digital twin operations.
We will be present at Photonics West in San Francisco 4-6 February as part of the Photonics Ireland pavilion (booth #4163). If you have any questions on the above, don’t hesitate to drop by or get in touch with us through our website.
